It kinda seems like Internet Marketing revolves A LOT around content creation. I would imagine this has thwarted many a hopeful marketer, but don’t let it stop you!
Conveniently, I can write, and I have a background in graphics. These are both good things when it comes to creating websites, AND digital products. Now, my sites might not look perfect, BUT they don’t look they were built in 2002 with HTML, and haven’t been touched since either. It’s convenient to have skills, but I’m a little slow on things like off-page SEO and business in general. I have always sucked at trying to sell things. This just means that I have to approach things differently. Internet Marketing isn’t all about selling. Sometimes it’s about connecting people with products that interest them. The sale is a given.
So, If You Can’t Write…
- Hire someone to do it for you. There are TONS of writers out there looking for work. You can utilize services like Elance, oDesk, and even Fiverr, and come out fairly cheap!
- Buy a PLR product. A what? PLR. It stands for Private Label Rights. You can buy whole ebooks or articles. The thing is that someone else may have purchased the same product. The trick is to re-write it in your own words, so that it becomes yours. You can hire someone to do that for you too. It’s called spinning. It is typically cheaper to have someone rewrite existing content than to write it from scratch. PLR products are drastically discounted because they are sold to an undisclosed number of people. Don’t cheat yourself, make sure you rewrite it.
- Compile articles from your niche into an ebook. Find some articles about your niche at an article directory like EzineArticles.com. Plug them into a spinner, and compile them into an ebook. Voila! You can find article spinners by searching Google. Don’t forget to proofread. Spinning software is never perfect.
An Interesting Method I Heard to Get Your Ebook Written FREE
Once upon a time, there was a guy who decided he wanted to do something in a hot niche. He chose marijuana. That’s right, 420, the ol’ Mary Jane. He created a Facebook Group. This is very important…it was a GROUP, not a PAGE. The difference is that members can post their own content in a Group, but they can basically only “like” pages and comment on posts. So, this guy created his Group, and people came in droves to join and interact. The community was strong, and then something very interesting happened.
The guy posted on the Group and asked the users for their recipes. In came a giant flood of recipes for EVERYTHING from your standard brownies to steak marinades made with cannabis. This fella was no good at writing, but he essentially copied and pasted all of those recipes into an ebook. He then put it up for sale at Amazon for the Kindle line of e-readers, and he is making bank.
So, What Can YOU Do With This Information?
Think about it. How could you make it work for you? What niche could you make a Facebook Group about and easily participate in the conversations? What question could you ask your users that would prompt them to post information to the Group that you could use in an e-book? Got your wheels turning? GREAT. Remember, you can’t make money thinking. You must take action.
