Work From Home

These are all sites where you can pick up freelance opportunities. As of this writing, this is my full-time source of income. Some of these fit under the umbrella of bidding sites, but due to the stigma, many of them are improved.

Other Places to Find Work:

Drive Traffic

http://onlywire.com – Submit your content to more than 50 social bookmarking sites at once.

https://pingler.com/ – Ping your URL to more than 70 services with a few clicks.

http://pingoat.net/ – Another free pinging service that’s worth your time.

http://www.submitexpress.com/free-submission.html – Submit the homepage of your site to more than 70 search engines at once. You only need to do this once. The search engines will automatically crawl your site and be notified each time you update it.

Domains

Namecheap – This is hands-down the only place I go to buy domains. Namecheap makes it a quick and easy transaction, and their interface makes my domains easy to manage as well.

Hosting

Hetrixbyte – If you need something affordable to get started that will allow you to pay month-to-month, I’ve been with this company since 2010. They have proven themselves to be a reliable solution when funds are limited.

Bluehost – Get the best premium host for your WordPress site complete with great support and backups! Bluehost is second to none.

List Building

http://mailchimp.com – free to build a list of up to 2,000 subscribers and send 12,000 emails per month. Mailchimp also has a user-friendly interface to create your newsletter, email blasts, etc. I’ve tried GetResponse and Aweber as well, and I found Mailchimp best suited my needs at this time.
